Bates Battaglia is an American former professional hockey player from Raleigh, North Carolina who was a contestant on the reality television competition The Amazing Race 22, in 2013.
His team partner was his brother Anthony Battaglia. He was 36 during filming of the Race.

Italy and Scotland, because I'm Italian and Scottish.
What do you hope to accomplish by running The Race (other than winning one million bucks)?
I think it would be a great way to see the world while having fun and competing.
