Jerry Orbach (20 October, 1935 – 28 December, 2004) was an American actor best known for his starring role as Detective Lennie Briscoe in the television drama series Law & Order, from 1991-2004.

Orbach died on 28 December, 2004 after a 10-year battle with prostate cancer.
