Bio

Reynard Slabbert is a South African actor and presenter best known for co-hosting the kykNET magazine show Kwêla, joining the show in July 2013.

Slabbert was born in Vryheid and grew up in Empangeni and Durban, matriculating from Port Natal School. After that he studied drama at the Pretoria Technikon.

At the end of his student days he got the opportunity to go to Disney World in Florida for a year and a half. The travel bug hit and he departed from the United States directly to England where he worked for another three years.

Then he joined Global Challenge, where he worked for a year in 10 different countries. On his return to South Africa he worked for a while for the UNHCR after the xenophobic attacks, but he quickly moved Johannesburg to pursue another dream - acting.

Reynard has featured in stage productions such as Houtkruis, Esther, Disney's Aladdin and Disney's The Little Mermaid. His television roles include Egoli, 7de Laan, Binneland: Sub Judice, A Case of Murder and Getroud Met Rugby.

He also played the role of John in SABC2's program Inside the Baobab tree and many know him as the "Limitlesssss" guy in an advertisement for Telkom Mobile.

He has also appeared in a handful of Afrikaans music videos for Adam, Andriette Norman, Juanita du Plessis, Leme and Die Skim. Movies include Wolf Wolf, 100m Leeuloop and Babalaas.

In 2013 he had a role in the kykNET period drama series Donkerland.
