Jessica Nichols is a Canadian actress best known for playing all the Liberata roles - Bertie, Jered Kikema and Ugarti - in the science fiction television series Defiance.
Nichols was born in Toronto, raised in Barrie and Muskoka and grew up a competitive athlete in various sports including figure skating, rowing, and dance.
She graduated from Queen's University with a degree in Film Studies. She started performing in grade school with a school production of Anne of Green Gables which she both acted and choreographed.
She has appeared in several Canadian television series including Style by Jury, F2: Forensic Factor, MTV Live, Life or Death and Life with Derek.
