Diaan Lawrenson is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Paula van der Lecq on the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan, from 2002. In 2016 Diaan resigned as a starring cast member on 7de Laan and became a call actor instead, appearing in select storylines. Shortly after resigning she relocated to Cape Town where she taught at AFDA (the African Film Drama and Art school) in Observatory. In April 2019 she was appointed as the dean of the school. She is married to actor Jody Abrahams. Diaan answers TVSA's Celeb Q&A.
