Diego Serrano is an Ecuadorian-born American actor best known for his starring role as Jesse Bayron in the Party of Five spin-off series Time of Your Life, from 1999-2000.
Serrano was born in Quito, Ecuador. During his childhood, he ironically did not watch television but rather played soccer. Other hobbies include playing golf, bike riding, hiking and dancing.
At 18 he won a Star Search modeling contest and soon after started playing Tomas on the soap opera Another World.
His big break came in 2000, when he starred alongside star Jennifer Love Hewitt on the Fox television series Time of Your Life. The show garnered him plenty of attention and he was voted as one of the 10 New Faces to Watch.
He appeared on The Young and the Restless as Diego Guittierez (2001–2002) and also appeared in the 2005 film The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green playing Kyle Underhill, a professional baseball player who comes out as gay and authors an autobiography.
While growing up, he said that he was inspired by the careers John Malkovich and Meryl Streep.
