Bio

Coy Stewart is an American actor best known for his starring role as Kevin Kingston-Persons in the television sitcom Are We There Yet?.

Stewart was born in Columbia, South Carolina. When he was five years old he started acting for fun in plays at his local church, and he was soon bitten by the acting bug.

At age eight, when Coy's parents realised he was reciting lines from popular movies and shows before actors actually said them, they decided it was time for acting lessons.

Prior to joining the cast of Are We There Yet?, Coy played the role of Travis Younger in the acclaimed production of A Raisin in the Sun.

In 2010 he had a guest starring role in the police procedural television series The Glades. The following year he had a starring role as Marcus Barnes, who gets the wordball power and a skill of maths power, in the children's educational series The Electric Company.

On March 13, 2011, Coy won the Young Artists Award for Best Supporting Young Actor in a Comedy or Drama for his role on Are We There Yet?.
