Bio
Andy Mientus is an American actor who works primarily in musical theatre best known to television audiences for his starring role as Kyle Bishop, a music composer who is creating a contemporary rock musical along with his writing partner, Jimmy Collins (Jeremy Jordan) in Brooklyn, in the musical drama series Smash, in 2013.
Mientus toured the country in the hit Broadway musical Spring Awakening and made his Off Broadway debut in MCC Theater's production of Carrie.
Other credits include Mark Cohen in Rent, February House at New York Stage and Film and several productions with the New York Musical Theater Festival.
He also developed the musical project Manhattan Kids with the band Teen Commandments.
