Alexa Havins is an American actress best known for originating the role of Babe Carey Chandler on the soap opera All My Children, playing the role from 2003-2007 and again in 2011.

She is also known for her starring role as CIA agent Esther Drummond in the fourth season of the science fiction television series Torchwood, in 2011.

Havins' feature film credits include When In Rome, Old Dogs, 27 Dresses and she starred in Fat Girls which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

She has guest starred on television series such as CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Cold Case, Grey's Anatomy and Rescue Me.

Havins studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York.

Since 5 June, 2005, Havins has been married to her former All My Children co-star Justin Bruening. Bruening, who portrayed Jamie Martin, proposed to Havins following the taping of a scene where the character of Jamie proposes to Babe.

After husband Bruening left All My Children, Havins exited as well shortly after and the couple moved to Los Angeles. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2010.
