Joe Lo Truglio is an American actor, comedian and writer best known for his work as a cast member on the cult MTV sketch comedy series The State, from 1993-1995.

He also has a starring role as Detective Charles Boyle, a nervous, clumsy but honest and hard-working detective who has a crush on Detective Diaz, in the television sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
