Jason Wessenaar-Moloatsi was a South African AIDS, TB and gay rights activist and lecturer best known for hosting the fourth and fifth seasons of the HIV magazine series Siyayinqoba Beat It!, from 2004-2005.Wessenaar was involved in the HIV/AIDS field from 1994 until his death in 2011. He worked as a trainer/facilitator in various private and public organisations.He lectured at the Tshwane University of Technology, University of Stellenbosch and UNISA on HIV/AIDS workplace policy and programme development. He was based at the Centre for the Study of HIV/AIDS at the Tshwane University of Technology.Jason was murdered in his home in Pretoria West in the early hours of Sunday 18 December, 2011.
