Bio

David Robb is an English-born Scottish actor best known for his roles as Germanicus in the BBC production of I, Claudius (1976), as Robin Grant in The Flame Trees of Thika (1981) and as Dr. Clarkson in Downton Abbey.

London born, and raised in Edinburgh, Robb has also appeared in Parnell and the Englishwoman and Sharpe's Peril. His feature film work includes Swing Kids, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and The Highlander.

Robb has lent his voice to several Star Wars video games, and worked extensively for BBC radio on dramas and adaptations.

He is married to British actress Briony McRoberts and volunteerd with the Samaritans, a British charity that provides support to those in emotional distress or at risk of suicide.
