Tracie Thoms is an American actress best known for her roles in the feature films Rent, The Devil Wears Prada and Death Proof; and for her starring role as Kat Miller in the police procedural television series Cold Case, from 2005-2010.

Her TV credits include series regular roles in Wonderfalls and As If, and guest appearances on The Shield, Law & Order, Private Practice, Human Target, Harry's Law and Suits.

Thoms has starred in numerous theatrical productions, including Rent and Drowning Crow on Broadway, The Exonerated, Up Against the Wind, A Raisin in the Sun and And Her Hair Went With Her.
