Bio
Sergio Di Zio is a Canadian actor best known for his starring role as Mike "Spike" Scarlatti in the police procedural television drama series Flashpoint, from 2008-2012.
Prior to his role on Flashpoint, Di Zio was a series regular on This is Wonderland and Northern Town.
He has appeared in the television movies Wedding Wars, Covert One: The Hades Factor, Custody, RFK and The Wall: Vietnam Remembered. He has also made guest appearances in many Canadian television series such as Wild Card, Twitch City and G-Spot.
Di Zio's feature film credits include Flash of Genius, The Lockout, Cinderella Man, The In-Laws, 19 Months, Boondock Saints and Luck, winner of the Best Narrative at the 2004 South-by-Southwest festival.
His theatre credits include the Canadian production of Leo, for which he received a Dora Award nomination for Best Actor in the role of Rodrigo. He then went on to play two roles in the highly acclaimed and Dora Award-winning play Scorched, in Canada.
Di Zio was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario.
