Matt Lauria is an American actor best known for his recurring television roles as Roy Merritt in Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) and as running back Luke Cafferty in Friday Night Lights, from 2009-2011.
In 2011 he starred in the short-lived police procedural television series The Chicago Code.
He has also appeared on 30 Rock, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Forgotten.
Lauria received his bachelor's degree in drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where his school productions included Romeo and Juliet, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and Habeas Corpus.
Since graduating from college, Lauria has continued to pursue his passion for theatre, originating a role in the critically acclaimed New York production of An Upset, by Tony award-winning playwright David Auburn.
In addition to acting, Lauria is an aspiring filmmaker. He has produced and directed an untitled half-hour comedy, and has directed numerous music videos.
