Jay Harrington is an American actor best known for his starring role as Ted Crisp in the television sitcom Better Off Ted, from 2009-2010.
When Jay Harrington isn't playing the love interest to leading ladies Teri Hatcher on Desperate Housewives or Lori Laughlin on Summerland, he can be found playing in one of the many sports leagues he's part of.
Starting on a small stage in Cape Cod, MA, Harrington knew early on he wanted to act. A triple threat (actor-singer-dancer), he graduated from Syracuse University's theatre program ready to take on the acting world.
He moved to New York and spent time doing off-Broadway theater before heading to Los Angeles.
In addition to the title role in Better Off Ted, Harrington had a recurring role on Private Practice and has appeared on The Inside and Coupling.
Other television credits include Ghost Whisperer, Las Vegas, The Division, The Shield, Without a Trace and the Lifetime movie Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy.
His feature film credits include Partners, Whatever It Takes and Anywhere But Here.
Harrington currently lives in Los Angeles and is an avid sports fan. He plays in the NBA Entertainment League and dons skates for a local hockey team.
