Ramey Short is a South African actor and model best known for his role as Dr. Quinton Meyer in the M-Net soapie Binnelanders, joining the cast in 2008.
Ramey was born in Durbanville, Cape Town where he completed his school career. After he matriculated, he did a course in Sport Marketing in Stellenbosch.
From 2004 to 2005 he did a drama course at the Vincent Chase Studio/Workshop in Hollywood. He also received training at the ACT Studio in Cape Town and the Playhouse Theatre in Somerset West.
In 2006 he acted in the stage production, Boi Boi Dust of Life at the Belville Civic Theatre. In 2005 and 2006 he was part of the reality program Elite Ops on SABC2 and in 2007 he had a role in the e.tv soccer drama series Shooting Stars.
He's also acted in various local and international ads.
Ramey played a lot of sport at school, including athletics, rugby, cricket and tennis, and it remains one of his passions today.
