Lisa Maree van Zyl is a South African model best known as the second princess in the 2009 Miss South Africa pageant.

Capetonian Lisa Maree van Zyl is 23 years old and has a Financial Management National Diploma from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
She is currently studying Finance and Investments at the University of the Western Cape to obtain her Bcomm Honours degree. Upon completing her honours she would like to pursue a career in politics.
She is also a professional full time model.
If she was to win she would use the Miss SA title to highlight socio economic situations like unemployment, poverty, HIV/AIDS and lack of education. She would also like to emphasise the importance of physical fitness and hygiene in disadvantaged schools.
She is inspired by ordinary people doing extraordinary things. She admires former tennis champion, Billie Jean King, who fought for gender equality and proved that women can survive pressure filled situations.
