Sally Hershberger is an American celebrity hairstylist best known for creating Meg Ryan's signature haircut, the "Sally Shag", and for appearing as a judge on the first season of the reality competition Shear Genius, in 2007.

Hershberger is one of the most influential and sought-after hairstylists in Hollywood.

Equally in demand in the world of fashion, she has been the top choice for a number of the world's most renowned photographers and models, shooting multi-million dollar campaigns along with covers for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Allure, Vanity Fair, and many more.

Born in Kansas and raised in California, Sally began doing hair at 18, landing an apprenticeship with Arthur Johns while still in beauty school.

It was at this well known Hollywood salon she first began working with celebrities and establishing the relationships which would help lead to her success - such as the one with Herb Ritts, with whom she worked steadily on some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Since then, her list of photographers has grown to include Steven Meisel, Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton, Arthur Elgort, Matthew Rolston, Patrick Demarchelier, Ruven Afanador, Michael Thompson, Reagan Cameron and Pamela Hanson.

Her list of celebrity clientele - many of whom she has been cutting and styling for several years - includes: Michelle Pfeiffer, Tom Cruise, Meg Ryan, Kate Kapshaw, Steven Spielberg, Natasha Richardson, Liam Neeson, Sandra Bullock, Winona Ryder, Hilary Clinton, Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt, Neve Campbell, Courtney Love, Mia Farrow, Gina Gershon, Heather Graham, Faith Hill, Renee Zellweger, Julia Roberts, Cindy Crawford, Gretchen Mol, Lisa Kudrow, Calista Flockhart, Jane Fonda, David Kelly, Jon Bon Jovi, David Duchovny and Kate Moss.

Hershberger is also frequently asked to style her clients looks in their films.

Her on-screen work includes: French Kiss, I.Q., Addicted to Love, Courage Under Fire, City of Angels, You've Got Mail and Hanging Up (Meg Ryan).

She has also styled the looks for the following films:

As Good As It Gets (Helen Hunt)
The Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis)
Mission Impossible (Tom Cruise)
Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger)
Bound (Gina Gershon)
Message in a Bottle (Robin Wright Penn)
Anywhere But Here (Susan Sarandon and Natalie Portman)

Sally continues to consult on film sets - designing and coordinating looks for award-winning directors and the world's most popular actors.

She is also constantly working as a personal stylist for numerous celebrities and models, as well as prominent social and business leaders.

Sally can be found in her own salon in New York at Sally Hershberger Downtown or at the Chris McMillan Salon in Los Angeles, typically with an extensive waiting list of clients.
