Yosheen Govender is a South African model and television presenter best known as one of the "Flasher Girls" for the KwaZulu-Natal Super 14 rugby team The Sharks, from 2005-2009.
She has also presented location links for SABC Topsport and DStv's SuperSport, and presented Spice for Life on DStv's Indian lifestyle and entertainment channel Saffron TV.
Born in Durban, Yosheen was raised in Lotusville, a suburb of the town Verulam, which lies 27 kilometres north of Durban. It is the third-oldest town in South Africa.
She did a Business Management Diploma and a Diploma in Marketing at Varsity College and Diplomas in Project Management and Sales and Marketing at Damelin, graduating with distinctions in all qualifications.
The winner of several beauty pageants, Yosheen has also co-ordinated pageants and served as judge and compere on several.
She place 98th in the 2005 FHM Homegrown Honey competition (Top 10 in South Africa) and was named in the FHM Top 100 Sexiest Woman in the World 2006 edition.
She has appeared in numerous magazines including FHM, Sports Illustrated, Bona and Drum, and has been profiled in various newspapers including Sunday Times, Mercury, Daily News, Post, Northern Star, Sowetan and Beeld.
Yosheen has done promotional campaigns for numerous clients including Axe, National Lotto, Shield, Nivea, Vodacom, Gillette, Sun International, Microsoft, Incredible Connection, Marlboro, Damelin, Liqui Fruit, Captain Morgan and the Natal Sharks, among others.
She has appeared on billboards for Spar and Suncoast Casino and was a model for a NWJ national campaign that lasted for three years.
She has also worked as a freelance journalist for The Bugle and The Ridge Magazine and has had three poems published in South Africa.
She was shortlisted in a presenter search for the SABC2 religious programme Eastern Mosaic and was also a trainee DJ at a chat radio station.
Yosheen is an ambassador for the Kick Racism campaign and has extensive involvement with several charities in Durban and the surrounding areas.
She currently resides in Durban, where among other pursuits is the Marketing Manager for a cellular company.
