Bio
Adam Ford is an English-born South African motoring expert, radio and television personality best known for his partnership with Sagie Moodley on 702 Talk Radio's "A Word On..." with Leigh Bennie, and for co-hosting (with Moodley) the SABC3 motoring magazine show Car Quest, since April 2009.
As a self-confessed car nut Adam has always had a passion for all things motoring. Born in the U.K. he immigrated to SA in the 60s. He still has a sentimental attachment to older British cars, even British Leyland cars.
Ford grew up at boarding school in a small Eastern Cape town and had a keen interest in cars. Farah Fawcett and Magnum's Ferrari 08 had a big influence on him.
After leaving school in the 80s Adam got involved in the motor trade. In 1986 he started his own business in the service and repair sector and had his head under a bonnet ever since.
Adam is married with three daughters. Because of his technical background he is constantly intrigued with the technical advancement the motor industry has made in all fields.
He is a member of the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists.
