Bio

Willa Holland is an American model and actress best known for her starring role as Kaitlin Cooper, Marissa Cooper's devious younger sister, on the teen drama television series The O.C.

She currently stars as Thea Queen, Oliver's (Stephen Amell) younger sister who seems to be following in her older brother's footsteps when it comes to living life in the fast lane, in the superhero action series Arrow, since 2012.

Since her role in The O.C., she has appeared in projects with some of the most established actors, including Susan Sarandon, Colin Firth, Catherine Keener and Paul Bettany.

In 2008, Holland appeared as Susan Sarandon's daughter, in BOLD films' and director John Stockwell's Middle of Nowhere. The movie also starred Anton Yelchin, and premiered at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival.

Also in 2008, Holland starred alongside Colin Firth in Genova, for director Michael Winterbottom. The film tells the story of a father who, after the tragic death of his wife, takes his two daughters to Genova in search of new beginnings. Having never played the piano, Holland learned to play a Chopin piece for this film.

She also appeared in Screen Gems' supernatural action thriller Legion, starring Paul Bettany. Additionally, she appeared in Straw Dogs, also for Screen Gems, the reimagining of the 1971 film, which starred Dustin Hoffman. Rod Lurie wrote and directed the film, and Holland appeared alongside Alexander Skarsgard and James Marsden.

Other projects include an arc on Gossip Girl and the starring role in the Judy Blume feature, Tiger Eyes. This marked the first time that one of the renowned author's books have been turned into a movie.

Holland began modeling with Ford models at the age of seven and has appeared in campaigns for numerous brands including Burberry of London, Guess, Gap, Nivea, Ralph Lauren and Abercrombie & Fitch, among others.
