CANCELLED! e.tv cans Nikiwe after nine months on air. According to e.tv's statement, it's because it "has not delivered anticipated ratings". It premiered with 1,455,901 viewers in April 2023, peaked at 1,937,014 in October, followed by 1,770,046 viewers in November. A pity it's been yanked because its celebration of peace and love is fresh in a soapie landscape crammed with too much violence. Ends in early 2024.

I think it's a lie that they canned the show coz of low ratings considering the times timeslot and the show they were competing with. Infact Skeem Saam lost viewers to them so this low ratings is just for show considering the rumors going around

I said it when it aired that the show would not last. Not only did they choose a deadly time slot for it against Skeem but the storyline was pretty awful to be extended further.
You don't name a telenovela with character's name. You do that for a 30 episode drama.
