According to a Deadline article about the situation, the footage of Carole in the trailer is from Season 1 and not 2. The trailer makes it look like Season 1's protagonists Carole and Joe Exotic are intrinsically involved again but it's looking more and more like the season's going to focus on the many no name brands in the trailer instead of them.
