Season 2 of Netflix fantasy adventure One Piece begins production at the Cape Town Film Studios this week, where Season 1 was filmed too. It's a high sea action adventure based on the manga series and it uses boats, which the studios have in supply. They have three ships and three water tanks as sets for the sea.

What does the Arendsvlei cast speak about between filming? According to actress Megan Saayman, "Everyone sits together and tells stories to pass the time. You will hear the funniest stories, but I am not someone who talks a lot. So I listened and learned a great deal.” Her character Ayesha was mistakenly killed by her husband this week when she was caught in crossfire.

Did you know? KB Motsilanyane sings the theme song on Mzansi Magic's new novela Champions. She co-wrote it too, with producer and writer Bonga Percy Vilakazi who was creative producer on The River. He also wrote Gqeberha: The Empire's theme song.

What we didn't see on Devil's Peak Eps 2: editing trickery in the scene between Thobela and traumatised mother Ntsusa - when he was in her house, saying he would help her. Sisanda Henna and Faith Baloyi filmed it separately and weren't actually together. Twas edited into one scene. Faith was injured in a previous scene when she ran after the car that took Jacob and couldn't film their scene according to schedule. >>
