Befor i can continue with my analysis i need to confess something.Since i was forced at gunpoint by one of this site writers to join,i decided I was gonna get myself a nice soapie,reality show or mini series to write about.But as i was searching through channels trying to get some i found myself not pressing any buttom when a comercial is on.Thats when it hit me...I'm a sucker for commercials!!!So why not analys them...That's how i got here,but enough about me now.
Let's check some exquisit and dull commercials.Which one do you want first???The good or tthe bad news first??Thought as much..you guys are so predictable..ok ok I will start with the good one.
Ever since the world cup the football ads have been really catching my attention.But knowing that many ladies are glad that the world cup is over,i dont want to step on any toes.So i will just move along to the Vodacom challenge
We all know that Manchester United just played two of South Africa's popular or should i say big clubs i.e Chiefs and Pirates.So there was this commercial about the derby.Taxi with Kaizer Chiefs banner stops to collect some Manchester fans.They asked the drivet:Do you know where Soweto is?Got into the taxi(they are wearing their clubs colours:red and white)Inside the taxi the song Hello Africa tell me how you doing is playing.These guys are just so loud,they then show their undies(boxers) out throw the window,undies written red devil(didn't really like this part).A lady with a baby on her back witnesses this and goes IYO!Next this guys are banging the outside of a taxi and an old man sitting on the site of the road is amazed to see this and goes IYO!These guys then gets off the taxi and they see this pirates fan wearing pirates colours and selling Pirates accesaries,they put the Manchester hat on his head,this guy obviously amazed goes IYO!They now get into the stadium,the stadium is packed with both Chiefs and Pirates supporters,all wearing Gold & Black and Black& White,they are the only ones wearing red.Obviously they attracted attention,everybody is now starring at them,to make matters worse,even the players are staring at them(we all know this is quite not possible,its just exaggerated)
These guys are shocked by this,Chris Forrest(the well fed Scholes in the ad)goes IYO!!!That's what i call a killer advert,the look on this guys face,the way he said IYO!!This ad underlines the cultural experience awaiting the foreign legions when they touch down in four years time.WOZA 2010!!!IYO!!!!!!!!!!!!!,HAEBO,SERIYASE,hOLA,HEITA,these are some of the words awaiting our guests.
