One new show is starting tonight and three shows are ending.

STARTING

SHOW: The Sopranos

Channel: M-Net Series Season: 5 Time: 22h00 Episodes: 13
Panic attacks. Separation anxiety. Borderline paranoia. Mounting stress. With symptoms like these, it's only a matter of time before the controlled rage inside mob boss Tony Soprano erupts again...

The critically acclaimed, Emmy Award- and Peabody Award-winning series The Sopranos is back for a 13-episode fifth season.

Creator David Chase's compelling drama series tells the story of Tony Soprano, a modern-day New Jersey Mafia boss, and his family.

The Sopranos stars three-time Emmy winners James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano and Edie Falco as Tony's recently estranged wife, Carmela; along with Lorraine Bracco as his therapist, Dr. Jennifer Melfi; Michael Imperioli as Tony's nephew Christopher Moltisanti; and Dominic Chianese as Uncle Junior.

This season Tony not only deals with domestic travails, but he also faces new headaches in business.

In particular, some old 'rats' are looking to jump onto the Soprano ship after being paroled from prison, including the boss' cousin Tony Blundetto (Steve Buscemi) who finds going straight easier said than done.

Will Tony manage to keep them on board and in line - or is extermination the only way to keep the boat from sinking?

ENDING

SHOW: Boston Legal

Channel: M-Net Series Season: 1 Time: 21h00 Replaced by: House (2)
In the Season 1 finale tonight, entitled Death Be Not Proud:

Chelina asks Alan to assist her in Texas because her former client is getting executed but may be innocent of the crime.

An old friend of Denny and Shirley asks them for legal representation when she is charged with having repeated sexual encounters for a fee.

Lori files a complaint about Denny with Shirley and Paul and they seriously consider doing something about it.

Especially when they suspect he performed an unethical act on his recent case.

SHOW: Kitchen Confidential

Channel: e.tv Season: 1 Time: 21h00 Replaced by: Six Feet Under (5)
In the series finale tonight, entitled And The Award Goes To...

Nolita is a finalist for the prestigious James Beard Award, which Mimi and Jack are determined to win.

Then Becky reappears in Jack's life and he learns that her restaurant is up for the same award.

Seth finds out that Jim is involved with Tanya and Ramon sees the Virgin Mary in a Prize Lobster.

Only one season of Kitchen Confidential was made - the show was cancelled by US network Fox in December 2005.

SHOW: Out Of Practice

Channel: e.tv Season: 1 Time: 21h30 Replaced by: Six Feet Under (5)
Tonight's episode - entitled Model Behaviour - is the 13th episode in the season, although 14 episodes aired in the US.

In total 20 episodes were made but the final six were never broadcast in the US.

We're not sure why the 14th episode will not be broadcast next week (Six Feet Under replaces both Kitchen Confidential and Out Of Practice as from next week) - we have sought clarification from e.tv and will update this page when we understand more.

In case tonight's episode really is the last episode to be screened by e.tv, here's the summary:

Stewart and Lydia pretend to still be married to one another while his former receptionist visits.

Oliver wants to stop dating a woman whom he finds annoying, but feels horrible because she happens to be friends with Ben.
