With their wildly contrasting characters and constant bickering, old friends Nigel Farrell and Nippi Singh sought to buy and refurbish a ruined farmhouse in the Ardeche region of southeast France in the first series of A Place in France.
Despite undergoing Herculean trials, the two managed to secure their dream home. So much so that Nigel, seduced by the home, the lifestyle and his beautiful young mortgage broker Celine, decided to start a new life in the house.
But he has a problem. He needs to find a source of income. Improbably, he settles upon the idea of opening an Indian restaurant in this remote corner of France.
This eight-part series follows his progress as he tries to overcome minor barriers such as a complete lack of knowledge of Indian cuisine, a lack of restaurant management experience, and a lack of French language, in pursuit of the perfect new life.

SHOW: Third Watch
|
Channel: M-Net Series |
Season: 5 |
Time: 19h00 |
Episodes: 22 |
This action-packed drama is about the brave and dedicated people who serve as paramedics, firefighters and police on the 'Third Watch,' the shift from 15h00 to 23h00.
In the fifth season, newly promoted Kim Zambrano, assisted by cocky medic Carlos Nieto, takes on the lead paramedic responsibilities previously shouldered by seasoned Monte 'Doc' Parker, who has been promoted to an office position.
Firefighter Jimmy Doherty, Kim's ex-husband, possesses a tenacity that contrasts with his freewheeling personal life. From blazing buildings and car accidents to crime scenes and domestic emergencies, these unsung heroes often arrive first.
Just across the street, the police of the 55th Precinct show up for their daily tours of duty. Streetwise longtime cop John 'Sully' Sullivan battles alcoholism and the never-ending stress of the job but remains a mentor of sorts to headstrong Ty Davis Jr., the son of Sully's former partner who was killed in the line of duty.
In order to have time during the day to help her 16-year-old sister raise a baby, newcomer Sasha Monroe joins the third watch. And Maurice 'Bosco' Boscorelli's 'supercop' mentality frequently gets him into trouble - most recently when his superior, elite Anti-crime Unit Sergeant Maritza Cruz, had her cover as an FBI agent blown due to Bosco's meddling.
Meanwhile, stalwart police officer Faith Yokas, along with her husband, Fred, raises two children, including teenage Emily.
The cops and emergency personnel in this tight-knit group know one another well - sometimes too well - as they work side by side in harsh, urban conditions. For them, keeping the streets safe and answering cries for help is all in a day's work.
