New SABC1 presenters in on-air showdown

Over the past couple of months SABC1 has been doing a nation-wide Idols-type search to find new continuity presenters for the channel.

Auditions were held across the country with the idea being to find presenter hopefuls who have the potential to be trained to be the channel’s official faces and voices.

The search is complete - 12 new potential presenters have been found. They’re all hitting their training today (May 22nd) and on Thursday June 1st their final challenge begins, when they start presenting on our boxes.

They’ll be joining SABC1’s current presenters for the full month and two weeks into June the search for the best amongst them starts when voting lines open for viewers to vote for their favourites.

On July 1st the six winning presenters will be announced, after which they’ll step into their new roles as the channel's official faces immediately. From the sounds of things it’s goodbyeee to the old presenters at this point too.

The 12 finalists have been divided into six groups of two according to the languages they’ll be presenting in and one presenter from each of the groups will be chosen.

I've met Fezile. Great guy. Very nice. Down to earth. We were on the same flight to Jhb from Dbn and just started talking as we were about to board the plane. Not forgetting the hotness ke.
