CJ, Brenda, and Veronique play against time to sort out the security on a phone. Debbie-Lee gets an unexpected result. Shireen takes Warren home but gives him an ultimatum. The tension is getting to Esther.

CJ demands to spend time alone with his child, while Brenda doesn’t think it is a good idea.
Nenna and Joey don’t make it easy for Debbie-Lee to hide her news, and Sandy begins to suspect something is amiss.
Warren gives Phillip and Napoleon a reason to be concerned, while Shireen feels that he is once again hiding something.

Lucky shows up at Shireen’s house and reveals things to her that she hardly can believe.
Brenda reveals that CJ is on the run with baby Haley – with Veronique’s assistance – but asks that it be kept a secret as to keep CJ and Haley safe.

Shireen is prepared to listen to Warren’s whole story regarding Lucky. Sandy goes with Debbie-Lee for her first appointment – and receives news that they really didn’t expect.
Octavia makes it clear to Veronique that she won't be leaving Soebatskloof before CJ and Haley are back.
Debbie-Lee and Tjoppie share their stories of the day with each other.

Warren and Lucky are at extreme loggerheads with each other, and Shireen is kind of in the middle of it all.
Debbie-Lee is concerned about the future, while Joey encourages her to speak to her beloved.

Debbie-Lee tells Nenna about her plans with Tjoppie, while both of them think it is a step in the right direction.
Shireen tells Sandy that she knows how it feels to grow up without a dad, but Sandy doesn’t want to talk about it. It is very clear that Lucky is also hiding a secret from his father.
Octave has a plan that will prevent Warren from using a piece of land on the farm. Veronique has an idea on how to get rid of her father, but it takes its toll.

Veronique is not coping, and Octavia is the one that notices.
Brenda is caught off guard when Veronique chases her away, and Lucky turns on the charm when he meets the Systers for the first time – and he is also immediately impressed when he meets Brenda.
Warren shows Lucky that he is not such a bad father as Lucky thinks. Jan begins to feel guilty about his many lies.

Shireen overhears Lucky’s plan with Warren, and she confronts him about it.
Veronique’s behaviour is taken to task when Nenna confronts her about it: Veronique breaks down in Nenna’s arms.
Jan shows up a little intoxicated at the house but blames his circumstances. Lucky’s interest in Brenda is piqued when Brenda gives him lip.

Episode 228
Lucky’s feelings of guilt are eating away at him, and he decides to play open cards with Warren – especially when Shireen and Warren’s relationship bleeds because of him.
Jan decides to make himself useful by joining the workforce – and Joey feels he might be getting replaced.
Nenna shares her concerns about Veronique with Octavia and Hermine – and Octavia decides to bring an end to Veronique’s anguish.
Sandy talks to Hermien about Esther – and how the Marais family functions without Haley.

Episode 229
Joey gives Nenna a reason for concern when he walks around in his robe all day long.
Octavia informs Veronique that Junior is on his way to London, and Veronique decides to organise a press conference to explain how the Marais family are getting on with life without Haley.
The Systers accept Lucky in their midsts, and an upsetting news paper article does the rounds.

Brenda tells Debbie-Lee that she thinks the writing is on the wall for her and CJ.
Veronique and Tjoppie try to find CJ so they can persuade him not to flee with Haley any further.
Nenna fears that she has broken Joey’s trust and heart when Jan advises him to do more exercises.
Brenda wants to kiss Lucky…

Episode 231
Veronique needs to come up with a plan to get Haley back on Soebatskloof without implicating CJ in any way.
Lucky finds out that Brenda is married, and Brenda decides that it would be best if she moves back to Bergvallei – Octavia supports her all the way.
Joey decides that he wants to turn his life around with exercise – and he asks Warren for help.

Joey’s exercise regime is an inspiration for the other men on the farm, but Nenna is deeply concerned with the amount of money he is spending.
CJ wants to talk to Brenda when he realises that she has returned to Bergvallei – but she doesn’t want to talk to him.
Veronique’s next phase of her plan includes Chrisentia – and it will cost her dearly. Brenda asks Lucky to move in with her at Bergvallei.

Esther discharges herself from the hospital when she sees Chrisentia’s video – and she goes directly to Soebatskloof.
Joey tries to hide a sports injury from Nenna. The friendship between Lucky and Brenda deepens, and he advises her to speak to CJ.

Esther makes a shocking announcement at the press conference.
Nenna is concerned about Joey’s fitness regime and asks Shireen’s assistance. Shireen suggests that Debbie-Lee and Tjoppie visit a fertility clinic.
Brenda comes to a decision regarding her future with CJ, after she sees CJ with someone else.
