Coming up on
Skemergrond on Wednesday 25 February 2026:
Keenan Arrison as JP Louw's brother-with-opposite-letters: PJ.
Described by Keenan like so:
Keenan: "PJ's man with many layers. He is complex. On the surface he can appear calm and even funny, but there is a lot going on beneath that surface.
Viewers who meet him for the first time will probably feel that there’s something he’s holding back - and that’s exactly where his complexity lies.
When PJ arrives in Gemoedsdrif, he brings a tense, almost electric energy with him. His presence alone begins to shift relationships and situations.
There is brotherly love with JP, but also unspoken tension and possibly old wounds that haven’t fully healed yet. It’s a relationship that drives much of his inner conflict.
PJ’s journey won’t be static. There are decisions he makes that can have far-reaching consequences - for himself and for the Louw family.
Viewers may initially experience him as cold or calculating, but as the story unfolds it will become clear that there is emotional depth and even a sense of desperation beneath that controlled exterior.
I hope viewers feel challenged not to judge too quickly. And that they start asking: 'What really drives this man?'"
