Coming up on
Generations on Monday 15 December 2025:
Bheki Sibiya as Gwababa Mpilonde "G-Wagon" Mabaso - Jack Mabaso's long lost brutha.
Jack's going to find him in his mission to connect with his family.
Jump on the G-Wagon and get to know the character with these flash facts, then put your interpretation to the test...

G-Wagon's a former truck driver who's travelled extensively in South Africa and neighbouring countries. Now he owns his two trucks, but they're not as fancy as the ones he used to drive. However, they do his business - which is shady but lucrative.

He knows Nokwazi - they had a one night stand.

He rates himself highly, even if it’s not true.

He's traditionally Zulu but easily swayed to modern ways.

He’s very loyal to those he loves.

He didn't finish high school - went up to Standard 7, which is equivalent to Grade 9 these days. He's self-taught in everything. He’s a survivor and a hustler.

He's a solution finder, even if the solution is questionable.

He has people who steal cows for him - they slaughter them at hostels in Durban and Joziburg, then sell the meat quick-quick. He regards these as his "butcheries" and wears butchers overalls when he isn't dressed up smartly.

He loves all types of women, even those who are out of his league. He sees himself as a catch.
Now that you know these bites about him, see if you imagine the answers to these questions about his inner motivations and tap the spoiler tags to unlock the answers:

He graduated with a Speech and Drama diploma from the Durban University of Technology in 1997.

This from Bheki:
Bheki: “Joining Generations: The Legacy really does feel like coming back home. Having collaborated with the SABC on different productions over the years, stepping onto the set of the country’s longest running soapie is truly special.
It’s a real honour to be part of a show that has been such an important part of South African television and of so many people’s lives. I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to a story that continues to capture the hearts of viewers across Mzansi.”
