Season 2 of kykNET's
Die Brug began with a "No!" on Thursday night when self-proclaimed schmodel Wilhrisca became the first to be whacked when she shouldn't have been.
It was obvious they were going to oust her because she was unapproachable and it's impossible to pronounce her name so it'll be more fun for them now that she's gone,
but it's less fun for us.
She was set to be the first villain of the season, consciously and unconsciously. You could see she was working her reality mean side with her comments and attitude and knew how she was coming across.
However, she had an additional streak that she didn't seem to be aware of which was revealed when she glibly declared how she finds it difficult to get along with people she isn't using.
It was a shocking thing to say, especially because she genuinely seemed to mean it -
and didn't seem to realise what a low blow it is - to use people. Urgh!
She hit the nail on the head with Hannes though. He did worm his way into being team leader alongside Melissa who didn't even consider Luwellen for the task despite the fact that he's much more qualified.
A professional construction manager versus an insecure hairdo - who would you choose?
We've been quizzy to see how this season will pan out considering the fact that they have to complete the exact same task as Season 1's crowd. So far so good because Episode 1 was different enough to keep us interested to see what happens once they start building Die Brrruuuuuug.
Yoh, it took forever for that opening monlogue to end - it was like being at a poetry Eisteddford in an icey winter hall instead of watching a reality low.
There weren't as many contestants as one would expect but they're clearly going to add them over time.
These are the profiles for those who've been introduced so far... we presume they were written by them based on their tone.
Looks like Hannes and his wife have been to marriage counselling - see if you think so too:

He can talk too much, be overly friendly and is deeply affected if people don’t like him.
People see him as the glue that brings others together, and he’s good at reading people and categorising them.
Hannes wants to do Die Brug to prove that everyone deserves to live authentically and that you can rise above if you’re willing to consider others’ perspectives too.

She’s a single mother to a little boy she would give the world for. Her childhood wasn’t easy, and her father raised her to never need a man in her life.
Wilhrisca is strong, she can bite, and she will. Life has made her tough, and she prefers it that way.
She wants to win Die Brug, not because she needs the money, but because she loves the idea of being on television and hopes it will lead to more opportunities.
