As you may have seen in the TVSA News Shorts, Netflix has released a blitz of news about the streamer's 2025 series and movie slate.

One of the titles announced is this new series Go! which premieres on 21 March 2025.

Here's a close-up on the scenario with first look pix and details:

Scenario:

When Siya "Bolt" Gumede, a gifted runner from the rough inner city of Johannesburg, receives a life-changing scholarship to an elite private school, his dreams and ambitions are shadowed by a dark secret of death and betrayal that could destroy everything he has worked for.

Newcomer Thandolwethu Zondi plays Bolt.

It's easy to get kissed when you know how.

Also in the cast are Dawn Thandeka King, Wiseman Mncube, Wonder Ndlovu, Shalate Sekhabi,  Brendon Daniels, Vusi Kunene and Katlego Danke.

What's the first thing you think of when you see Dawn?

For us it's the funky crocheted hats she makes - we want one of every design.

Oh, and we also think of this pic we snapped of her at DStv's first Mzansi Viewers' Choice Awards...

Go! producer Kutlwano Ditsele who co-created Gomora and The Herd. He produces alongside Thuli Zuma of Stained Glass TV (Uzalo, Durban Gen).

They've produced it under the production house Ten30 Pictures and Thuli's written the script.

Did you know?

Thuli's first sojourn into TV was as an actress in SABC2's Hillside in 2008 and the Mzansi Magic sitcom It's For Life - pictured here. She's lounging at the front, with co-stars Thalitha Ndima, Nkuli Sibeko and Gugu Zuma (Thuli's sister).

Go! director Tristan Holmes.

Tristan directed the chroma key special effects in the "out there" local mini series Innocent Times and last year he won SAFTAs for Best Achievement in Directing and Scriptwriting for the movie The Fragile King on Prime Video.
