First look: new crime thriller Cross

The key art: pissed off and ready with his cuffs. 

He had a complicated bromance with Kevin Bacon as DeCourcy Ward on City on a Hill and now Aldis Hott Hodge seeks more justice on Prime Video's new series Cross.

It's based on the novels by James Patterson about Alex Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist who digs into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify - and ultimately capture - the murderers.

Aldis, who also produces on the series, follows in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry who played him in the movies.

Are you a film buff who can list the names?

A clue: they were released between 1997 and 2012.

As you'll see, Morgan and Tyler can only dream of fitting into a shirt like Aldis because they could never achieve it.

The series premieres on 14 November with all eight episodes and it's already been renewed for Season 2.
