Reyka Season 2 notebook with vids and scribbles

You know that crime thriller Reyka's returning to M-Net in the new year and now pull out your detective notebook to investigate more...

Kim Engelbrecht and Iain Glen headline once again, reprising their roles as the flawed but brilliant criminologist Reyka Gama and her former abductor Angus Speelman.

Reyka and her team are called in when a spate of killings grip Durban, centred round Durban harbour.

Question 1

After everything Reyka endured in Season 1, will she have the mental fortitude to decipher the connections and catch a brutal new killer?

Our answer: Yes, if she's eating the right foods.

Questions 2 and 3

“I need to finish what I’ve done. Stick to our plan.”

Angus Speelman was arrested in the Season 1 finale. Has he managed to escape or is the video below a flashback?

Was there more to Reyka’s abduction than initially revealed?

Our answers: He's escaped and looks like he's in Australia, and yes, of course.

Questions 4 and 5

If Season 1 focused on land - who lives on it, works it, owns it, steals it, wants to poison it, and, importantly, what secrets are concealed within it - then Season 2 will focus on water.

Reyka has just started rebuilding her life, but this ominous scene below hints that the danger is far from over. Who is watching? And will she ever find safety?

Our answers: A creep and no. Just when you think you've found some peace, WHAM, arseholes strike again.

If you missed the first season, you'll find the backstory and everything you need to know here: Reyka Season 1

We'll keep you posted once the Season 2 premiere date's been confirmed.

Had no idea there was a season 2 in the pipeline, great news indeed, so much to look forward to on MNet: Devil's Peak, Endangered, White Lies, Summertide and now Reyka 2.
