Special notes

Viewers were subjected to loadshedding ranging from Stage 1 to Stage 6 this month, with a few moments of no loadshedding in between.

No 1 shows in trouble

See how Skeem Saam needs 381,342 more viewers for its most watched episode to outperform Uzalo and 7de Laan needs 191,554 more to outdo Muvhango.

Will they do it?

Headed towards the EXIT door

This is the first time that Umkhokha: The Curse has exceeded cancelled Gomora since Umkhokha premiered as a telenovela in March this year.

Gqeberha: The Empire needs 21,229 more viewers to surpass Gomora too.

Gomora ends on 20 October this year.

Surprising no show

Interesting to note is that the premiere of Mzansi Wethu's new telenovela Sibongile & The Dlaminis didn't make the Top 30 on DStv. It started on 31 July. Loadshedding was at Stage 4 that night.

Idols SA didn't make it despite having two channels and one of them is on an Access package. I expected a lot for a final season.

IdolsSA they sabotaged themselves by moving it to Saturdays just like OPW. They should have televised it on mzansi wethu on Sundays to attract more viewers. I'll only watch the live shows
