Sort of. As we mentioned in the
TVSA News Shorts, The Black Door Season 1 has been extended for 15 episodes and will be followed by a Season 2, but with a difference.
Initial impressions suggest it's going to be a spin-off series, set in a new location and subtitled Chapter 2.

Adapt or Die
Khaya reveals his new dream to his family. Thenji is in a dark place. The prophet Nka’s popularity is growing and then... he gets a blood-curdling warning. The Black Door is in full recovery mode as renovations are underway. Thugs enter, demanding protection fees that Rebs used to pay.

The Eye of the Tiger
In a surprise turn, Rebs starts breathing without the aid of a machine, and Boniswa is hell bent on taking her home. Papa pays Nka a visit, demanding what he is owed. At The Black Door Khaya decides to hold open auditions for dancers. He's left unnerved when he learns of Rebs' return to health.

Episode 263
Khaya cancels the imbeleko and pushes for a strengthening ritual disguised as umsebenzi for Chuma. The ceremony is about to get underway when the chicken runs away and the inyanga tells the Sokhulus it is a bad omen. Khaya presses for the ritual to go ahead. Boniswa gets the shock of her life when Rebs speaks.

Protected and Untouchable
Nka is worried Rebs might reveal his sins. He tries to get Papa to reverse the curse on his manhood. Khaya tries to get Thenji bail and gets ready for The Black Door relaunch. As everyone tries to ensure the event is a success, Khaya gathers his goons and ambushes Rebs at her mansion, ready to finish her off.

Traumatised Black Door clients warn that Khaya will be held accountable for what happened. His problems worsen when TK investigates and brings the media. Khaya denies that The Black Door is a brothel. Rebs is in a celebratory mood after firing her first shot at Khaya. Nkanyiso stands up to Papa.

Nolitha's Seduction
Khaya digs himself into a deeper hole as he tries to explain himself. Nandi pushes him away as he tries to comfort her and he falls for Nolitha’s seduction. Rebs shocks her family when she wants to go to church where she gives a touching testimony. Nandi prepares Boniswa for sex work disguised as a promotion.

TK questions Rebs about her attacker but she feigns amnesia to avoid answering. At The Black Door Khaya tries to counter the exposure by allowing Mapantsula in. His plan backfires. Things become tense when the church women share fears about Khaya recruiting their young girls and boys.

Nomsa demands that Khaya leaves the house. Rebs declares she doesn't need anyone’s help and then realises the error of her ways. Velaphi’s need for belonging is exacerbated when Ntsako makes him feel like he doesn’t know who he is. Boniswa feels insulted when a client mistakes her for a sex worker.

The Beginning of the End
Khaya escapes by the skin of his teeth when Nandi arrives home just after he's had sex with Nolitha. Velaphi goes missing. Nomsa rejects Rebs’ apology and is stunned when Rebs reveals that Khaya tried to kill her. Missing Velaphi is in Rustenburg searching for Bra Gibbs’ family. Bra Gibbs' younger brother Pheko performs an “African DNA test” on him.

Nomsa confronts Khaya over Rebs’ accusation. At The Black Door Boniswa is taken aback when Tshabalala asks her to bring him his drink in one of the pleasure rooms. He shares a sad personal story. They have sex but afterwards Boniswa is deeply offended when he hands her cash for her services.

And So It Goes
Khaya and his goons ambush the Mabuza house but he is shook to find his mother in the house. Thenji and the family are horrified to hear that Velaphi ran off to initiation school. A traumatised Boniswa relives her encounter with Tshabalala. Khaya sneaks off to Nolitha’s bedroom and Nandi seeing this, follows him.

Rebs is shocked but pleased that her plan is in motion. A drug craved Boniswa gate crashes Tshabalala’s mini sex romp. Nandi, who suspects Khaya and Nolitha are falling for each other, confides in Enhle who suggests Nandi set them up. Velaphi is circumcised.

After the shock of finding Khaya and Nolitha in bed, Nandi attacks Nolitha. Boniswa reveals to Rebs that she's working at The Black Door. Rebs and Kenny give her lessons on how to con people - a trick she successfully tries, but things take a turn when the clients she robbed return, guns blazing.

With The Black Door losing clients and the police on his back, Khaya contemplates ditching it. He has a score to settle with Rebs and goes to her house. A dejected Boniswa calls Rebs, telling her she's decided to end it all. Khaya and Rebs rush to The Black Door. Everyone watches in horror.

Season 1 finale!
Endings and Beginnings
It’s a sad day in Eshlahleni as the depth of the tragedy reverberates. A devastated Khaya comes across a bag full of money and hides it. A distraught Rebs swears she's done selling sex and a new alliance presents itself. Khaya announces his new business venture and then faces a gun, pointed at his face.
