Vernac Attack presents Young Guns of Vernac Comedy on 11 June.

Local language comedy continues to be one of the fastest growing genres of standup comedy in South Africa and this year’s line-up contains some of the most exciting and popular acts on the scene.

The show brings together heavyweight comedians Elton Mduduzi as the host, multiple award-winning Pele Pele as the headliner supported by rising star Thabang ER.

Industry stalwart and one of the leading lights in the vernac comedy circuit today, Summary the Comedian hosts an exciting line-up of comedians who all proudly perform comedy in their mother tongue.

Paying tribute to the culture of “magwarana” in the way that they performed their sets, this show is a comedy feast featuring King Sbuda, Nkukza, Tieho Khakkhau, Keketso Hutamo.
