We know that Season 8 of Uzalo premieres this month (check out the latest teasers HERE) and now we have intel on the new characters who'll debut as the season unfolds.

First up: the Magwaza family, who are set to challenge Nkunzi in a display of power that will shake the KwaMashu community.

He's met his match apparently.

Here's a blow-by-blow of who's who:

Njinji Magwaza
Played by Thembi Nyandeni

The family matriarch and a ruthless wolf in sheep’s clothing.

She enters Uzalo with her daughter Nomaswazi...

Nomaswazi Magwaza
Played by Omuhle Gela

Nomaswazi is a beautiful, smart, and conniving woman who moves stealthily, much like her mother.

Alongside her is her cousin Vikizitha, referred to as Vika in the teasers...

Vikizitha Magwaza
Played by Siyabonga Radebe

Vika enters the world as a charming and lethal criminal with his eyes fixed on Nkunzi’s throne.

Simon Nsimbi
Played by Ronald Mkhwanazi

The last of Njinji’s army is Simon, the Magwaza’s right hand man and voice of reason.

Constable Biyela
Played by Thabisile Zikhali

The police force welcomes Constable Biyela, an honest and well-educated woman determined to keep the department on the straight and narrow. Alongside her is Flavia...

Flavia
Played by Sthembile Mhlongo

A focused and independent career woman.

Amahle Sishi
Played by Hope Mbhele

Amahle brings love to KwaMashu. She's a fun, liberal woman who captures Lilly's attention.

Kwanda
Played by Sandile Mfusi

The driven and charming Kwanda woos Nonka into his attractive web, concealing his ulterior motives.

This from producer Pepsi Pokane:

“We are excited for audiences to experience a reimagined Uzalo. The production team promises a season of high-stakes drama, riveting storylines, creativity, and skillful production.

The production has several new faces joining the show, and it is a great pleasure to work with this impressive talent.

We are confident that our viewers are eager to continue experiencing authentic stories that represent their everyday realities in a way that resonates with them.”
