Suidooster: See who's blowing into town

Two new characters arrive on the Suidooster scene soon: one linked to AB and the other who has dishonest tendencies.

Is he a used car salesman? Nope.

A politician? Nah.

He's a real estate agent named Donovan who joins Bridgette’s (Denise Newman) property development business.

He's played by Die Byl and Vloeksteen star Marvin-Lee Beukes, who debuts this Thursday 23 September.

This from Marvin-Lee:

Marvin-Lee: “My character Donovan is a charming and driven man who uses his ambition to hide his past. But then the past comes knocking on the door…”

He's going to ruffle feathers apparently and will also engage in a romantic liaison. The subject of his attraction hasn't been revealed so who should it be? Which Suidooster needs a saucy hook-up?

And whose health can handle it? Definitely not AB's.

According to Suidooster’s publicist Wilmer Müller, the Samsodien family is going to face their biggest test yet.

Wilmer: “AB’s health is to deteriorate rapidly in the coming days and a very real question will be if death will come knocking on his door?

“But his nearest and dearest won’t just sit back and hope for the best.

"His half-brother Nazeem (Irvine van der Merwe) will do whatever it takes to save his brother’s life - no matter who might be collateral damage along the way.”

Enter Suster Graaf, played by theatre and TV actress Marion Holm, most recently seen on kykNET's new drama series Nêrens, Noord-Kaap.

Suster Graaf will play a big role in AB's storyline when he's admitted to hospital in October. Marion describes her like so:

Marion: “I portray a hospital nurse who isn’t as innocent and friendly as she appears. In fact ‘suster’ Graaff is ruthless and fearless.”

It's Marion's first role on a soapie and this is what she has to say about the experience:

Marion: “You need to have nerves of steel for a soap as it all happens at a very fast pace.”

She debuts on Friday 8 October.
