Too little, too late

Anesu should have attacked last week, Anela made the same mistake this week and now Anesu's history. Blasted into the jury by the Triumvirate who've become so powerful I honestly don't see how they're not a guaranteed Top 3.

Everyone's responding to Tyson, Kiran and Wardah's domination too late while they strut around and feast as if they're invincible.

It's only Kiran who'll get jury votes when it comes down to it because at least he's engaging with others who aren't in his alliance.

Tyson makes as if he's won already, which the jury won't like, and Wardah will be seen as riding their coattails.

The game belongs to Kiran and the only one who's seen it is Nicole, but she didn't make her point emphatically enough.

She should have encouraged Anesu to vote for Kiran instead of Tyson. She should have gone on and on about it until someone listened. 

I know this because it's a discovery I made this year. If you feel something and mention it and nobody listens, don't just let it go. Make sure they listen because you're feeling it for a reason. 

But Nicole ended up ignoring her gut instinct by siding with the Triumvirate along with Anela - another example of poor editing because we didn't get a glimpse of the process that got them there.

The only conclusion I could reach is that The Dude wanted to vote with Tyson and Kiran because he believes he's in the Top 3 with them, like they told him. It's total rubbish - they're never going to ditch Wardah's vote for him so I'm concerned that believes it.

Lier, lier, your pants on fire

Tribal Council was a waste of footage wasn't it? The entire thing was a bunch of obvious lies from every person with no truth anywhere.

Some spewed drivel about how they were going to vote, others spoke "cryptically" like so many people do on the socialz and others denied the alliances they so clearly have, like Santoni pretending her and Chappies haven't become like family.

Her protestations were cringeworthy because everybody knows and they should have responded with a unanimous "Puhlease,".

The big takeway
 

The rest of the episode was like one big Mr Delivery with all that eating they did at each challenge. It was a real downer when most everyone copped-out of the Immunity Challenge for the pasta.

The production should never have put that play-or-eat option with that particular challenge because it put them off the challenge too much so they shouldn't have had a choice.

I would much rather have seen them try to beat Chappies and also, the food didn't mean as much to those who'd already just binged on the braai reward where they pretended to drive the Jeep knock-off.

It moved from point A to point B but I didn't see any of them actually test driving it did you? All I saw was the breath-taking Wild Coast scenery being obstructed by a huge gas guzzling car.

It was tackily cheap to get them to promote it like that without giving them the opportunity of winning it in a challenge. They should have played for it.

Let's talk about the jury for a bit and how they look exactly like the crowd on the American version.

They always appear a strange orange colour, which must have to do with the Tribal Council fire but also, the crazy make-up they always have. 

It happens at the Reunion Shows too, where the castaways become unrecognisable with red, rouged cheeks and awks overdressed outfits.

It's the same with our jury now and I'm finding myself eagerly waiting to see who's wearing what and who's pulling it off - or not.

The lipstick on the girls was way too pink and overdone and yet it's nostalgic. It's been years since I've worn it because there's no point with masks and it's good to see faces with it.
