Special notes
DStv's top shows dropped from the heady heights of
January 2021 which saw Gomora, eHostela 2 and The Queen attract:
- 1,851,414
- 1,767,646 and
- 1,669,224 viewers respectively.
This is because Mzansi Magic was made available to Family and Access viewers for a part of January.
This didn't happen in February and it had a dramatic impact on eHostela, which dropped by a whopping 958,778 viewers to No. 6 at 808,868 viewers.
Clearly it would be best served if it were a signature Mzansi Wethu show instead, available to Access.
OR the promise of the opening episodes didn't live up to viewers' expectations as the series has unfolded.
OR a combo of the two.
