MLA agency seeks undiscovered acting talent to represent

Coolness alert!

MLA, the renowned actors agency founded by the late Moonyeenn Lee, will be holding auditions for undiscovered talent in open castings titled Call for Cast.

The goal: to find passionate, natural performers.

Those selected will be mentored, managed and represented by Moonyeenn Lee Associates.

Essentially it's like the online version of South Africa's most successful acting reality show Class Act, which also offered representation by MLA.

As you probably know, the agency and industry lost Moonyeenn last year as a result of Covid complications.

She left MLA to her daughter and daughter-in-law Cindy Lee and Nina Morris Lee and Nina's taken over as Manager and CEO.

According to the agency, these auditions will become an annual event.

Who can apply?

You have to be 18 or older.

You need to be a South African citizen or resident.

You need to have completed matric.

No formal training in acting is necessary.

How to audition

Applications open this Friday 5 February and you can submit your audition on MLA's website here: MLASA.com

Applications close on Friday 5 March 2021.

You need to submit a current colour headshot of yourself, a 90-second monologue and a short resume.

You'll find important details on these in the agency's list of requirements here: Call for Cast Audition Requirements

Go for it and break a leg!
