While Shawn and Lani canvas Deimos’s crime scene, Roman and Rafe question Nicole. Belle arrives and Nicole lays out the deal she made with Victor. Joey and Steve show up at Kayla’s hotel room to find Fynn. Kayla learns Joey was arrested. Kayla, Steve and Joey make plans to drive home as a family.

Nicole confides in Dario the possible charges she might be facing if Deimos turns up dead. Deimos has washed up on the riverbank… and finally opens his eyes. Hope returns to Salem, and seeks out Rafe. She tells him about her experience at the cabin, and that she has decided to see things through with Aiden.

Joey gets a cryptic text from Jade asking him to return to the commune. Steve tells Kayla he’s got to be the one to save Joey, realizes the police could do more harm than good. He stealthily breaks in, but Dirk catches Steve, points his gun at him. JJ helps Julie move in a few more belongings into the Horton house.

Chloe takes Deimos to her home and patches him up. Nicole seeks out Rafe and pleads her case. Victor goes to see Kate and congratulates her on getting her hands on the Deimos’ fortune. Philip emotionally confronts his dad, who reveals Kate (supposedly) married Deimos.

Nicole admits to Dario that she's bothered by Deimos's suspected death. Chloe reacts to Deimos's story of using her and Philip to get revenge on Victor. Victor tells Roman he suspects Nicole killed Deimos. Hope meets Aiden for a romantic dinner. Rafe asks Blanca how she came to Salem.

Nicole and Dario hide in the closet while Kate receives a visit from Philip. The cops arrive to haul Dario and Nicole off to jail. Steve, Kayla and Jade sit vigil at the California hospital, awaiting news of Joey’s surgery.
John returns from California to Marlena. Chad finds Ciara alone, apologizes for showing up drunk.

Worried and alarmed, Chad and Marlena arrive at Shady Hills to learn there was a fire, and Abigail’s been injured. Shawn informs Chad that it looks like Abigail is the one who started the fire. Justin is told by Roman that an investigation is underway over missing evidence.

As Chad worries about Abigail and the fact that she started the fire at Shady Hills, we get into Abigail’s nightmare and see exactly how it all unfolded. Belle lays into Nicole and Dario for breaking and entering.
Chloe is alerted when she hears Deimos call out Nicole and Kate’s name in his sleep.

Ciara fights her upset over learning that Chase is a patient at Shady Hills. Brady is upset with Victor when he continues his onslaught on Theresa.

Kate interrupts Nicole and Dario to inform Nicole she’s firing her. After staying another night, Deimos tells Chloe Kate tried to kill him. She sends Deimos on his way… alone. At the DiMera mansion, Chad is thrown to find Andre free from jail and stealing money.

Hope and Aiden have spent their first day at the Green Mountain Lodge trying to get to know one another again. Rafe tries to get his mind off of Hope, but it’s hard when he realizes she hasn’t called him back about Andre. Summer tells Dario that Clark’s sister is in town asking questions.

Aiden's nightmares about his plan to kill Hope, as well as being knocked out and held prisoner, cause him to suddenly wake up in horror, knocking over and breaking a lamp. Andre receives a text from Aiden, demanding to know the latest on their venture.

Chad and Ciara discuss the legitimacy of the supposed letter from Abigail. JJ’s investigation at Shady Hills about Abigail leads him to Ciara. Shawn knows Rafe is worried and hurt about Hope being with Aiden. Andre explains that Aiden was there to blame him for the abduction, which was actually all Stefano’s doing.

Kate worries that Deimos has returned to seek vengeance for her attempt to drown him in the river. Chad still doesn’t trust Andre but pretends to be on his side. Caroline also thinks Abigail may be in more control of her actions than the doctors believe. Andre reads an article about a downed private plane.
