Star Life puts a musical spin on the channel this month with the premiere of Kulfi: The Singing Star.
It starts on Friday, 14 June at 19h00, once Not Without My Family ends, and it's a musical series, featuring songs in the action.
The story centres round Kulfi (played by Aakriti Sharma), a sweet and charming seven-year-old who has a nightingale voice.
She's blessed with superb pipes but not a father.
She lives with her mother Nimrat (Shruti Sharma) in their village in Panthakot, India and then... tragedy strikes when she loses Nimrat to cancer.
Kulfi's twisted, mad aunt wants to sell her for her talent but her uncle helps her to escape. She's forced to dress as a boy (ditto
The Heir!) and flees to Mumbai.
Here she embarks on a journey of disovery as she searches for her musician father (Mohit Malik).
