BET follows the TV show wedding craze this July with the debut of 2 Families and a Wedding Dress.
The 13-episode series will be hosted by serial wedding show host Thembisa Mdoda (Our Perfect Wedding) and the search is on for brides and their families who want to be on it,
The format
Each episode follows a bride and her families as they choose a dream wedding dress for her.
Both sides of the brides’ families - immediate and soon to be in-laws - have the last word on the brides’ final look for their big day as they try to agree on the ultimate dress.
It's similar to TLC's Say Yes To The Dress because the dresses are from one particular bridal store:
Veil Bridal Couture.
Each dress is valued at R30,000.
How to apply
Entries are open to brides, their families and their in-laws so brides can enter directly or families can enter on their behalf.
To enter you need to submit a video motivation of why you deserve a free wedding dress. You can submit this via the show's WhatsApp line on
