Former Isidingo star Jack Devnarain will be back on our boxes soon when he debuts on e.tv's soapie Imbewu: The Seed.
Jack, who played Isidingo's beloved Rajesh Kumar for 15 years, takes on a whole new persona in Imbewu as ruthless businessman Sanil Maharaj - a villain.
Sanil's villainous ways are disguised by his charisma and charm, which hide the fact that he's a predator who wields his power through merciless company takeovers.
This from his character description by Imbewu and e.tv:
Sanil is first introduced into our world when Pranav (Koobeshen Naidoo) appoints him chairman of the Maluju board, as a condition for taking a lower shareholding in Maluju Oil.
As the layers of his character unravel, we will soon discover that loyalties and allegiances mean nothing to Sanil, and are often left in tatters in the wake of his pursuit of power.
With Sanil in our world, no one is safe. No one is more aware of this than Ngcolosi (Mpumelelo Bhulose). He’s wary of the man, and his presence unsettles him.
It’s only a matter of time before the two men cross swords.
Jack debuts on 1 June 2018.
