Rhythm City: Suffo's son to debut soon, played by Jesse Suntele

Like father, like son.

This is what Rhythm Cityzens can expect when Jesse Suntele debuts as Suffocate's son on Monday, 7 May.

Jesse, who landed his big break when he won the second season of BET's Top Actor Africa in 2016, plays Mzi, Suffo's (Mduduzi Mabaso) son who was based in Ghana.

When we first heard the news we did an immediate side eye to the age difference between Jesse and Mduduzi because Mduduzi doesn't seem old enough to have Jesse as a son and then we decided to let it go because Jesse's 25 and Mduduzi's 42 so it is possible.

As for Mzi and his role in the action... he's going to be immersed because he's moving in with Suffo and Puleng (Tebogo Khalo). Here's a description of Who he is:

Mzi is a suave, intelligent and good looking young man with a good head on his shoulders. He has clean and sober habits, but he occasionally goes out for a drink with friends or alone after a stressful day.

Girls gravitate towards him like bees to honey and he knows it, but he is by no means a player. He simply loves the attention. Despite his charm and laid-back appearance, Mzi is quick with his fists when provoked - he is, after all, Suffocate’s son.

Suffo learns that things have not been all hunky-dory in Zothile’s house since she revealed that Mzi was Suffo’s son.

He allows Mzi to live with him and Puleng, as long as he promises to stay out of trouble. But being Suffo’s son, Mzi can’t avoid getting into trouble occasionally, especially because of his quick temper.

You'll find everything you need to know about Jesse's career in his TVSA Profile here: Jesse Suntele.
