My Three Daughters premieres on EVA tonight (5 April) at 19h00, replacing Fooled Into Love which ended last night.
Here's a look at what it's about from the official synopsis, followed by the first teasers:
Leo a kindhearted primary professor from Seville, lives in St. Thomas Aquinas, a district in northern Peru.
He forms a cute couple with Elena and her three daughters, his three Marias: Maria Esperanza, Maria Soledad and Maria Paz, who will be born within a month. Leo and Elena have plans to marry each other. Because crime and killings are so rife in Northern Peru, Leo and Elena suffer an attack on their wedding day.
In this attack, Chavito, a street child who Leo taught in school and had "adopted", dies. Leo and Elena must flee to Lima. In Lima, Leo begins working in a school. Also, as a dispatcher in a warehouse. One day, his wife Elena mysteriously disappears and leaves a letter in which she says goodbye to her family. She has abandoned them. Or at least they think this because she has been kidnapped by her brother-in-law Vicente, who always "loved" her but whose love was never reciprocated.
Leo is alone and with three little girls and must learn to be father and mother at once. The enemies he had in St. Thomas plant a trap: creating a false drug shipment. Leo goes to prison as a result and loses his family.
Leo is arrested, taken to jail and sentenced to 9 years in prison. The three Marias are separated and sent to different foster homes. Inside prison, Leo makes a promise to prove his innocence and regain his three Marias.
9 years pass.
Leo is released, and he is determined to regain his daughters who are now three beautiful women who have lost track of each other.
